Youth Leadership Summit 2022- International Youth Day

Sister Cities International is excited to announce the registration for the Youth Leadership Summit is now open to our global audience.

Sister City programs around the world empower young people to think globally, spurring a new generation of citizen diplomats and volunteers who become instrumental in promoting peace, mutual respect, and prosperity. Our Youth Leadership Summit is designed to engage future leaders and introduce them to important global challenges. Taking place on International Youth Day, this summit is where our global membership of all ages will have the opportunity to engage with field experts, listen to student panels, and partake in our annual Young Artists and Authors Showcase.

This year we will highlight the United Nations’ 2022 theme: International Youth Day–Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages.

sci youth chats

Recently, Sister Cities International launched its “Youth Chats” conversation series for high school students. The programs took place in May, June, and July and provided an opportunity for students to discuss pressing global issues such as Youth Leadership In Institutions, Climate Action, and Education. This summit will bring together three student delegates from each chat to discuss how the programs have changed their perspectives on youth leadership.

young artists and authors showcase

We’re excited to announce the winners of this year’s Young Artists and Authors Showcase! Sister Cities International received more than 360 submissions across six categories: classic art, digital art, essay, poetry, photography, and original music.
